    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0

Meet Daisy!  This spunky, smart cutie-pie was born around June 19, 2017.  When she’s full-grown, she’ll be a lovely 85 pounds or so.

She loves sleeping at your feet – she’s is the best foot warmer you’ll ever have!  And you’ll love running your fingers through her long, wavy, silky coat.

Daisy will bring you joy and happiness every day.  She has a very sweet nature, and likes to be close so she can touch you.   She loves people of all ages.

Daisy will bring you joy and happiness every day.  She has a very sweet nature, and likes to be close so she can touch you.   She loves people of all ages.

Daisy needs a doggie friend in her new home.  She loves playing with the five dogs in her foster home, playing chase, climbing on them, running through the puppy pool.  She seems to prefer dogs that are her size or larger.  Four of her buddies are 100 – 140 pound Pyrenees!   She is also nice to the little 14 pound dog in the house.

Since she loves playing in the puppy pool, she might also enjoy a swimming pool, wading in a creek, or visiting your local pond or lake.

From her dog buddies, she instantly learned how to use the doggy door and where the best drinking water is.  Daisy is not food aggressive; she gives up her bowl to the other dogs and then eats out of the other bowl.

She would do best in a home without cats; she thinks they and squirrels are meant for chasing!

This baby is crate trained.  She is house trained as long as she is let outside every three hours; and she sleeps through the night without incident.  She is new to being on leash, but her foster mom is teaching her proper leash manners and that being on leash means she gets to go places!  She is also getting used to taking trips in the car.  All of these things are very new to Daisy, but she is learning happily and quickly.

She is very obedient, and comes when called.  She does not jump on people.  She sits nicely and waits to shake.  Reward training works very well with her.

Because she is still young, she loves toys to chew on, especially her Kong toy when it’s filled with frozen peanut butter!

Little Miss Daisy has lots of love to give, and she’s just waiting for the right family to take her home.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
