Meet Trooper!  This gorgeous, loving pup was born around 1/1/2017.  He is pint-sized for a Great Pyrenees, and will be likely about 65 pounds when he reaches full adulthood in about a year.

He is a goofy, playful boy.  He has a sweet, happy disposition.

Troop absolutely loves his people.  He is great with kids, and is very gentle – except for his very enthusiastic “Pyr paw!”  (The Great Pyrenees way of saying, “Pet me!”)   It’s best if he is placed with children older than toddlers so they don’t get accidentally scratched.

He likes to play with other dogs, but his favorite thing is to be next to his person while hanging out on his dog bed.  He could be fine as an only dog if he can be with his humans all the time.  If they have to be away from him for long periods of time, then he’ll need a doggy companion to keep him company.

If you’d like to give him a buddy, but you don’t already have one, his best friend in his foster home is Oakley, who is also available for adoption.

Adorably sweet Trooper is trained, leash trained, crate trained, and rides well in a car.  He hasn’t met any cats, yet, so we don’t know how he does with them in the house.  We can find out if needed.

He is a true treasure.  He will having you falling in love instantly!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
