Meet Gamora! She is such a snuggler! Born around October 2015, this gorgeous girl has beautiful eyes that mesmerize. Her ideal weight is around 80 pounds, and foster mom is helping her get back down to that. Gamora’s had a few too many snacks!
For the past three years, Gamora was living her best life in a Dallas area assisted living center where the residents and staff were her favorite people in the whole world! And they absolutely loved her! She provided great comfort to those unable to visit with family and friends, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
Unfortunately, Gamora developed an intolerance to small dogs coming into her domain. For liability reasons, she had to be removed from the center. Everyone there is heartbroken.
She will be the most wonderful, well-behaved, sweet girl in a home where she is the only dog. She is very compliant to whatever you ask of her.
She can be goofy at times! She’ll make a quick dash around the yard, throw herself headlong into the grass, and roll around.
Gamora mostly wants to be cuddled, pet, and to sleep next to her human. She likes to gently give you her paw as a reminder that she’s there. Sometimes she jumps up on people when she’s very excited.
The first night in her new foster home, she cuddled up right next to her new people to take a nap. She is perfectly happy sleeping next to you or in her kennel. She is wonderfully crate trained and obedient about “going to bed.”
In her crate, she sleeps soundly through the night and hasn’t presented any night barking problems. She DOES love to bark during the day though! One of her favorite hobbies is going into the backyard to tell the whole neighborhood “hello!”
She is wonderful on leash. She stays right with you, doesn’t pull or stray, and is completely passive to potential distractions. She loves walking around the block and meeting neighbors.
She hasn’t been especially playful with toys, but she loves chewing and carrying around her Dogwood stick.
Bonus: She’s nice to cats!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
