Meet Ida Lou!  This adorable, good-natured Great Pyrenees was born around 10/10/2013.  When she came from the shelter, she was a skinny 63 pounds.  Now that she is in a loving foster home, she is nearing her optimal weight of 75 pounds.

Ida Lou is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained.  She rides great in a car.

She is such a total sweetheart!  On the way to her new foster home, she was already smiling, being silly and goofy.  She is such a joy to have in the home.  She’ll even indulge your urge to dress her up in costumes!

She is a Velcro dog – always wanting to be with her humans – adults and kids alike.  At first meeting, she is a tiny bit shy, but then warms up quickly.

She loves playing and romping in the yard with the dogs in her foster home; she gets along with male, female, small, and large dogs.  She doesn’t want to cause any trouble with them.  And she hasn’t shown any interest in going over the four-foot wooden fence.

Ida Lou isn’t much interested in cats.  She ignores them and seeks out human attention instead.

This lovebug would do great in a home with other canine companions.  If she is an only dog, she needs nearly constant human company, and she prefers someone who will play with her.
