Meet Penny!  She is a complete joy and has a nice lush coat.  Someone is about to hit the jackpot with Miss Penny!  She was born around 03/15/2017.

If you’ve always wanted a Great Pyrenees, but thought they’re too big, Penny could be your girl.  She’s a “pocket Pyr,” small for the breed.   At six months of age, she was only 36 pounds; when full-grown, she’ll likely top out at 60-65 pounds.

She may be small, but she has a big heart and lots of love to share. She loves spending the early part of her day playing with squeaky toys and lounging around the house.  Her sweetness will have you falling in love instantly!

In the afternoons, she becomes awake and is ready for some activity!  She has high energy and will need lots socialization and exercise.  She could be your new jogging buddy!  If you have a swimming pool, all the better, so she can join you in some water play!

She loves playing with her foster doggy companions, and she’ll need at least one in her new home to teach her good behavior and to keep her occupied.  Her companion is recommended to be playful and energetic, but she gets along nicely with calm low energy dogs.

By the evening, she is ready for a cuddle and perhaps a nap.

Penny is a very intelligent dog, and solves problem fast.  Penny has her own voice, and she shows her excitement by vocalizing loudly.

She is leash trained, house trained, rides and rides nicely in a car.  She is not a fan of a crate, and trying to get her used to one might be more trouble than it’s worth.

She hasn’t been around any cats yet, so we don’t know whether she is nice to them.  She is great with kids, though!  She will do best with children over four years old.

Penny is a sweet girl waiting for her forever family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
