Meet Jagger!   Besides being handsome, he is a total sweetheart.  This friendly, laid-back boy was born around 08/01/2015.  He’s filling out nicely to his ideal weight of around 90 pounds.

He is officially child friendly and child loved!  He happily let a three-year old dress him up in a hat and sunglasses for some really cute photos.

He is also super-sweet with elderly people.  He recently elicited tears from a retired lady when he gently nudged her hands for some love.

Jagger is just a big ol’ love muffin.  He spends most of his day sleeping in the living room, and gets up occasionally to find his foster mom in other parts of the house.  He gets excited about meal time and about coming back in the house from outdoors, otherwise he is just mellow.

When he came from the shelter, he was skinny and shy.   Soon he trained his foster mom to give him cheese biscuits to get him in the house.  After he learned she was trainable, he adapted quickly to his new surroundings.  He returns the favor by obeying her requests to “sit, off, out, all done” and more.

He loves playing with the other big dogs in his foster home.  He likes stealing the ball from the German Shepherd when playing fetch.  He follows the other dogs out to the back yard, and prefers to come right back inside.  He likes sleeping on his dog bed near his doggy friends at night.  He would probably do best with a canine companion in his forever home.

Lovely Jagger is leash trained and house trained.  He has no need for a crate, because he can be trusted with free roam of the house at all times.

He doesn’t like leaving the house to get in the car, but his foster mom thinks it’s because he may be afraid he won’t be able to come home.   This gentle boy is ready for his forever family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
