Meet Janet! This beautiful puppy was born on April 1, 2017. We did a DNA test on her, and she is 50% Great Pyrenees and 50% German Shepherd. At 12 weeks of age, she was already 26 pounds, so we expect she is going to be a very big girl!
Janet is curious and playful, very energetic and brave. She is quick to attempt new things. As the first of her littermates to crawl into a patio chair, she seemed to relish in her accomplishment, and showed off by taunting them with her toy as if saying, “I’m king of the hill!”
She is also great with bigger/older dogs; she is always trying to say hi to the ones in her foster home. With her strong personality, she has a dominant streak - she is no shy flower – so her new canine buddy should be non-alpha (not the bossy dog).
Janet is extremely friendly with humans and loves to give kisses. She has quite the personality and will be a very fun and loving companion to her new family.
She is good with kids, but because she likes to mouth everything with her sharp puppy teeth and accidentally scratches humans with her very sharp puppy nails, it’s best if her new home has no young children who could get hurt.
She hasn’t met any cats yet, so we don’t know how she’ll do with them in the household.
