Meet Kaia, born approximately 11/23/2016, this spunky girl is ready for her forever home.
Kaia does wonderful with other dogs and is always ready for a good chase around the backyard. Kaia is currently being fostered with two cats; she has shown lots of interest in them and will chase them around. She needs gentle reminders to stop, and she will then leave them alone.
Kaia sleeps in a crate at night and is also house-trained as best a three-month old can be. If she is taken out every two hours, she will not have an accident in the house; and she will go stand by the back door to let you know it’s time to go out.
Kaia is a bossy little girl who will bark if things aren’t going the way she wants (if you aren’t petting her, if you are taking too long to get her food). She can be cuddly, but at her age she has more interest in play-biting and then taking long naps. Kaia loves children and is nothing but kisses when it comes to the kids in the house.
Kaia definitely needs a dog companion who wants to run around with her and also stay by her side. At her age, she gets nervous and will often look to the older dogs in her foster home for reassurance. To help her grow into a well-behaved adult, Kaia would do best in a family that has experience with Great Pyrenees.
Because of her very young age, Kaia is available only an a foster-to-adopt basis, and only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
