Bear loves people and gets along well with his foster siblings. He doesn’t appear to be fond of cats. Being a Great Pyrenees, he does bark loud at times, but only when he hears strangers passing by or hears other dogs barking. We think this affable fella was born around 1/1/2016.
Bear is eager to please, and loves affection in the form of petting, hugging, and talking to him in a friendly tone. He loves to lay his head on your lap, give kisses, and snuggle next to you on the bed. We love his happy face! He puts on cutest lip-curl and moaning sound when he is excited and happy.
He will lie down in the kitchen and watch patiently while you cook. He is more laid back while inside, but has bursts of high energy when playing with his foster siblings.
Bear requires daily exercise. He has a very high energy level when allowed to roam freely in a fenced park setting. He can run extremely fast for a dog of his size. He behaves well when walking on leash other than (like most Pyrs) occasional pulling and frequent stopping to snoop or mark his spot.
We believe Bear will fare best if he is adopted into a home that has with another Pyrenees.
Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
