Despite Dory's sunny outlook and demeanor, there is some tragedy to Dory's story. Dory was found with her male companion, also a Great Pyrenees in Arlington. They were taken to a shelter and she watched her previous owners pickup the male Great Pyrenees - leaving her behind and never looking back. We're helping Dory forget her past. She's swimming in greener pastures now! When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming! Dory is about 4 years old, weighs about 95 lbs and she is as sweet as pie! With her beautiful white coat and double dew claws, this full blooded Great Pyrenees is dreamy! Dory was so thankful to be saved that she held her foster mom's hand on the way home. Dory is heart worm positive and currently being treated. This sweet, docile girl is extremely chill, affectionate, loves to snuggle and she is house trained - so she can be trusted with free roam. Dory is dog-friendly, feline friendly, chicken friendly and walks well on a leash - she's what we call Pyyyrrrrfect! She hasn't been around children, but her foster mom imagines she would be fine,
other than an over enthusiastic Pyr Paw.
A car ride is a great adventure for Dory - full of new sights, smells, and sounds…much more fun that just hanging around at home waiting for the mailman to show up, but beware, she wants to ride shotgun! Will your heart be the one Dory swims to?
Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
