Introducing Willow, a wonderful Great Pyrenees of 9 months who is able to with the flow as her world is ever changing. She got her start part of an unwanted litter, this happens too often as we know. While many of her littermates were placed directly in a shelter, she was sent on a different path that landed her in an unfortunate situation. She became one of too many neglected pets in one setting and was ultimately rescued by Animal Control, placed in a shelter where she was discovered by the good folks of SPIN and rushed straight to the loving arms of her Foster Mom. Now that you are brought up to speed, you will be happy to know that Willow has been experiencing one happy day after the next. She is a very loving animal with a youthful energy. Upon a slow, respectful introduction with other dogs, she will gladly initiate play time. She seems to really take to water and Foster Mom believes there might be some retriever in her DNA.
Willow is very adaptable to change and has made great progress in her Foster home. She is now learning some basic manners and through lots of positive reinforcement she has seen one success after the next. She is growing into her skin and her precious personality is flowering. She is very affectionate and frequently seeks human attention. She will flourish in a home that provides continuity, companionship and plenty of exercise. And anyone who has experienced life with a dog who is afraid of fireworks will be in for a real treat. She just spent a 4th of July relaxing at Foster Mom’s feet with works overhead. In these parts of Texas, that is a PERK!
Willow is simply a beautiful girl who had an unfair beginning. Not her fault. She is absolutely where she needs to be now with only one more stop ahead of her. Home.
