Neptune has arrived! Presumably dumped, Neptune had been roaming around an RV park in Tyler, trailer-hopping between those who would feed her and occasionally invite her in on particularly cold nights.

I’m guessing Neptune is 3-4 months old based on her size and the glorious cottonbally puppy coat she is sporting, but Cindy will do the official teeth reading for us later!

Neptune is incredibly sweet, social, and well-mannered. She has not barked, whined, or had any accidents in the house so far!

She was covered in ticks when we got her, but she has since been cleaned up and is very happy about that!
While she did get a bath as soon as we got home, you can’t really tell. It took us all of about 20 minutes to learn that she is a very passionate, very proficient digger! She puts Buzz to shame, and that’s saying something! The girl LOVES mud.

Welcome to SPIN, Neptune! You made it. You’ll never be homeless again.

Neptune is fitting in so well and has been so easy to foster!  She likes everybody, and everybody likes her! She’s super sweet and has an empathetic quality to her personality. Good with dogs, cats, and kids and perfectly potty-trained!

She’s super smart and has been picking up commands very fast. A little scared of being on a leash, but she is quickly gaining confidence in this area! I’ve still only heard her bark once very softly. Neptune is so quiet sometimes you forget she’s here!

She wants so badly to play with one of our cats... but said cat wants nothing to do with her.  She’s also VERY polite about it. She begs and begs for the cat to play with her but accepts rejection gracefully.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
